Hello, I'm new here and would like to make more money like the rest of you. what do you need to do to have your own tracker, right now I am 40=I, 30=S & 30=C. Can anyone help?

Lets see if I understand this right......

If the ebbchart says to put your money into S Fund for tomorrow. I have to make an intrafund transfer by noon EST today for all my money to be in the S Fund tomorrow??
Pep, welcome to the Message Board. Best of luck with your investments. As my friend said "you can't hit them all".

Yes= if any of the premium services you are following are recommending a move to, as in your example, "S" fund, on any given day, then you need to make your IFT on the TSP site before noon on the previous day in order to have your IFT effective in time. TSP moves the money overnight, but only on accounts where the request for IFT was placed before noon.

ANd one more note- it HAS been known on a few, very heavy days in the past, that some people attempting to make a move in the last ten or fifteen minutes have been unable to complete their transaction in time due to an overloaded server or internet connection problem. So your likelyhood of making a noon deadline goes up if you try ealier in the day. Don't wait until 11:58 if it's a really heavy day, because you COULD have an issue that blows you out at post time.

Thank you all. Has anyone ever evaluated the ebbchart, or are we taking for granted the reported returns?

I think a lot of people here can vouch for the return shown by the Ebb Chart. We've watched it at work.

Now, sometimes it's been right on the mark. When he's in sync, he's hot- and I've seen gains that I didn't expect to see, and he's been exactly right on.

And sometimes it missed a little-and I've seen some losses. So it's not a hundred percent. But it DOES seem to be MORE accurate than throwing darts with your gut and your monkey. At least it's been performing pretty darn well.

One disclaimer- as always- (You heard it here first)-

Past performance is no guarantee of future results, your mileage may vary, and this offer is good, except in Nebraska. :-)

So, if the ebbchart says, for instance, X-fund for tomorrow, do I make the IFT effective today or effective tomorrow? That's the part I don't fully understand.

I have just joined this forum, and honestly I heard good things about it, especially about the ebbchart, I just don't understand how to follow it.

Does anyone have some data on it? Looking for historical data of the ebbchart, dates, allocations, and what they mean in terms of inter fund transfers.

If anyone has them, I would be more than greatful.

You look at the spinney colored thingies, and then make your IFT accordingly... that's about it... :)

I would expect that the Premium Service your talking about, would want you to join to get all the Past, Present and Future information you seek to have,,,,,,,Of coarse - I could be wrong.

Joined yesterday, 10/15/07 - glad to see there are so many others who believe you can control your TSP more than just letting it sit. I have an aggressive goal - at 4% gain per month, (including my allocations each month), but have hit it the last two months. So far, October has not been kind to me, but hope to make it up the last week.

Two or three good entries and exits can make you 2-4% each month easily if you can time it right.

20% a year is EXCELLENT. Welcome and thanks for joining us. I agree the $162 a year for Ebb is a great deal, but don't hesitate to do your own thing as well.

Steadygain makes an important point... and all systems run hot and cold. If you don't do your own thinking, you may not recognize when to make a positive alternate decision.

However, my alternate decisions have not worked out so well, but my unintentional mistakes have earned me an extra couple % this year...

Go figure .

I just joined.

I have been in GS for 7 years and have made 20% or more every year since I have kept track in 2004. I found out about TSP talk November of last year. Now everyone I know comes here on a regular basis.

I am currently using EBBCHART religiously. It is really worth your $14.95 a month.

Welcome tdvorak! Glad to have you aboard.
