Alright, I'm a newbie here...so be nice. I recently began playing the I fund after realizing I lost a good chunk the first two weeks in October. I'm doing my best trying to understand the news and what you guys post on here, however I still feel like I'm walking blindfolded. Can you please (in layman's terms) help me understand what's happening here. I'm still trying to understand how the FV works & when we're at an advantage/disadvantage to it. Can you translate what you've posted here? Please excuse my stupidity, but I need help.

Dang afternoon rally, now it looks like the market won't be down for a few days. I want to serve the market's liver with the turkey come Thanksgiving.

Why post here?, The I fund fluctuates faster than the others, thus it tends to gain the most in up markets. Also trying to tie the i fund value to the value at closing in Europe causes some real accounting gyrations due to time and changes in the value of the dollar against foreign denominations. So I guess we post here is because here is where the most action is.

In a bear market, like now, you losses can easily be magnified in ifund. Overall I think Europe might be behind us in the meltdown, so their recovery might be later. Buying in when the Euro is low is good. Thse are the 3 reasons I'm not in ifund now and not really expecting to be for a bit. I'm think C or S might be better when the bear is done. Ive bee mostly G the last 9 month, came out once for a bit and lost a nice chunk too.

As for the FV calculations, I keep getting confused.
