I fund for September 2009

Wednesday EAFE final of+$0.3207
minus Wednesday FV (previous day) of -$0.1500 = +$0.1707
plus Wednesday FV (today) of +$0.1400 = +$0.3107
plus mystery money of +$0.0097 =+$0.3204 final :)

I dumped out of everything a few days ago. I'm a bit worried about market stability.:worried:

I'm having a bit of angst based upon the timeframe.

In any case, best of luck. I hope I'm wrong.

Thursday EAFE final of +$0.1806
minus Thursday FV (previous day) of -$0.1400 = +$0.0406
minus Thursday FV (today) of -$0.1300 = -$0.0894
minus mystery money of -$0.0022 = -$0.0916 final :worried:

-FV is a little high. I am surprised there is one.

All or nothing is risky. The market may continue to rise climbing the wall of worry. :)

Agree. I stop by daily just to see the numbers and while I've given you (Corvette) a few rep points over the years, I've kind of taken it for granted that they will be updated each day. A big thank you!

Thanks for the heads up! I wonder how this effects the price action in the I fund, meaning is it just simply not counted, or will Thursday have a cumulative effect?

Does it matter that they are closed. They are only about 20 percent of the I Fund (or am I wrong) and UK will still be trading as well as the rest of the world. If that is so then Japan just wont be figured into the numbers.

Some one with the know please chime in here I'd like to know if this thought process is correct.

Japan has been, in the past, about 25% of the I fund. So, yes, when they are closed for three days straight, it may have an effect on the I fund value going into Thursday.

If the rest of the world markets don't move much, then the affect is very small. If the rest of the world markets move greatly, then the I fund value will have to be "WAG'd" until then, and we could have a big effect when trading resumes thursday.

I just put that out there so people were aware of it.

Japan has lots more holidays than the U.S..

In fact- most of the rest of the world has more holidays than the U.S.
