I Fund for January, 2010

I wish somebody smart would pick up the ball and make periodic posts in a thread about the I Fund. The variables are far to complex for me and I am not sure at all why I am still in it or if I should be.

ECB warns on inflation, seeks bolder crisis action

ECB says inflation could stay above target, urges government to bolster crisis measures

Geir Moulson, Associated Press, On Thursday January 13, 2011, 11:11 am

BERLIN (AP) -- The European Central Bank's president warned Thursday that inflation may remain high for months, raising questions about the possibility of an eventual interest-rate hike, and urged governments to bolster measures to tackle the eurozone debt crisis.
Jean-Claude Trichet's comments came after the ECB left its main interest rate unchanged at 1 percent on Thursday for the 20th consecutive month.

One of our members (name eludes me now) used a spread sheet to
calculate Fair Value, Euro/Dollar effects, etc....

If I find out who that was, maybe this will help you. The (.I) Fund of old
has been replaced by the (S) Fund of new. However, that is due to change
and getting ready for that change is very important to your future returns.
Should I find that members name, I will repost it here. Good Luck !;)

ChemEng and Jayhawker used to have spreadsheets. JayHawker announced his retirement of the maintenance of his specific spreadhseet and offered the spreadsheet source code to an entrepenuer for a small fee.

Other than that I haven't seen updated version of the spreadsheets.

Sound right?:D

Thanks Frixxx ! Those meds I'm on put a hurt'n on the Memory Glands !

BUSTER !

If memory serves me correctly, Buster was the one who had the spreadsheet !

BEST OF LUCK !

I think you are talking about 350Z, gave us good input for a long time, I wish he would come back? Don't pay any attention to that EFA chart at the bottom of the page!:)

The name is familiar -- but I didn't really know him.

I think the same thing happened to a lot of others Tom (12%,ComTech, Corepuncher, and many more.....) My guess is -- they take the Markets too seriously and it's too bad cause we all lose out.

Sometimes the dynamics shift -- and rifts can happen -- but hopefully we're all beyond that and can let things be cool.

But who knows ??? --- oh yeah -- the shaddow knows ;)
The Shadow does know. Ask him about cigars!

Hey, poolman, how are ya.

Are you going to try to take on this mystical beast? I miss the daily posts, I think Corvette was one of them.

EFA was up .61% today. I fund was down .2%. Something to do with mystery money? There may be a post elsewhere about i fund. Something about payback.

Hello PessOptimist,

I have been trying for a couple of day's to figure out this I - Fund. The problem is that there is not a constant way of this being figured because of a - or + fair value associated with it. I mean I've got paperwork everywhere around me and there is no consistency.

They Don't Want Us to be able to Figure Out the I - Fund.

That's my take on it. It used to be figurable when 350Z was doing it and he could do it with remarkable accuracy. Corvette could get it from time to time but something changed about the time Corvette started doing it which made it unfair to him.
