reminder from the TSP website today:

HOLIDAY CLOSING-


Some financial markets will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions that would have been processed Tuesday night (November 11th) will be processed Wednesday night (November 12th), at Wednesday's closing share prices.

Another Holiday reminder - Turkey day coming up. You know, the day we celebrate all the "un-documented immigrants" who arrived on our Western Hemisphere shores in 1620, and were given free food and welfare handouts by those who were already living here.

Some financial markets will be closed on Thursday, November 27th in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions that would have been processed Thursday night (November 27th) will be processed Friday night (November 28th), at Friday's closing share prices.

NYSE also closes at 1300R 28 Nov 14. That's 1 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) for some of you. Heure Normale de l'Est for our Québécois(e) friends and Tiempo del Este for many of my neighbors. To many it is a chance to make an IFT closer to the closing price.

If I'm not mistaken this happened on the whole continent not just in the USA! The land was there for the taking and they did just that to escape from their beloved homelands.
