Holiday Friday - TSP Closed??

Friday is Good Friday and the stock market will be closed.

Last year the TSP was closed as well as far as not giving share prices, but I'm not 100% sure if they will be processing transactions. They have not posted anything on their website yet, but it's something to keep in mind as we head toward the end of the month.

If anyone hears anything, can you please post it here? Thanks!

No stock market, no transactions, no quotes. - Patricia, help desk, TSP Thriftline
They will be open for questions.

Hmmm. I always wondered about this Good Friday thing. I thought businesses were non secular. Yeah, I know. take it to the politics thread.

Depends on the part of the country you're in. When I moved to Wright-Pat AFB in Dayton, OH. Everyone told me to hurry as I went around on a Thursday having my utilities turned on. They said "tomorrow is Good Friday and everything is closed." Out here in the Western U.S. no one even knows when Easter is. I guess there are a lot more Catholics back East.

I'm not so much about secular vs non-secular. I just thought the Stock Market and especially the Federal Thrift Savings Board, would only be closed on a Federal Holiday, which we know Good Friday nor Easter are. But I heard about the Stock Market it's some kind of superstition dating back decades.
