Just a newbie to the board, but not to investing. I have been in the market since the late 70's and have witnessed some pretty volitile market swings..... but the last couple of weeks have just been crazy.

I have enjoyed reading on this BB. Good advice is given out every day.

Hey things are look'n up! Another show me state member.

At a minimum get the 5% match if available and max out the Roth IRA. Anything more to invest goes back to the TSP account.

Wish I got the 5% match. I am from the old school on Civil Service Retirement....no match They tried to get me to switch to FERS a couple of times.....but I decided not to. I add about 15K/year into the TSP from payroll. Lookin' at about 9 years to retire.
