Welcome Pistol! I wouldn't put too much emphasis on share price. The S-fund has done well since the inception of share prices in 2003, but that does not affect what will happen going forward.
Small caps tend to do better coming out of recessions, and so far they have. How long that will continue, and when the larger stocks of the C-fund might start to outperform, remains to be seen, but the prices on each have been determined by 7 years of trading so I would be looking more at the percentages rather than price.
You might stick with what is working now, until it you see a shift. You can always make a switch within a day or two to the C-fund (or the I-fund) if you notice relative strength swinging toward larger stocks, or international stocks.

The performance is always the best to buy....but that's the game.....
The C has remained hesitant during this bull run and Some say S is overbought.....
Risk is your only concern.....
Read the posts, look at the autotracker and see who's performing...then watch their threads to watch their movements.
Read the blogs by coolhand and Bullit.....
The only other thing is to get your money on the table at the right time...
I'm retired Air Force and now a Civil Service employee with 6 years down and ?????? to go. I figure, if the economy improves and the taxes don't kill us I have about 18 years left till retirement. I've been reading the posts on the website and really like the information I am gaining about TSPs. I do have a question. I noticed the S fund is doing the best percentage wise but it is also the most expensive per share. Which is the best option, to go with what is performing the best (S fund), or what is the cheapest to buy (C or I fund)? Thanks, and I really appreciate the insight given on this site.
