Handballer's Account Talk

Shouldn't this IFT count as my first one for December?? Lots of rouble logging on then got this message.

Please correct the following error(s):
  1. Because you have already executed two interfund transfers this month, you are eligible to transfer your money from the F, C, S, I and L Funds only to the G Fund. You cannot transfer among the other funds until after noon eastern time on the last business day of this month. Click here for more information. If you would like to make an IFT request into the G Fund, please re-enter your request.

Oops, I see Wednesday is the first trading day for December. I should of stayed in bed.

No my friend you got it all wrong...It's like going Polar Bear hunting (with only your camera) -- to get some good shots...Forget the kill --- and just enjoy everything ....cause we enjoy you

BTW -- It's getting cold in Alaska

C0B today (Friday 12/tenth)
S fund 100%

On board with the Sentiment system for rest of 2010. I was dumb not using it earlier.

Tracker #272 5.16% gain. I'm pleased with that for now.

Good luck with the new car purchase. This situation may not apply but it is something to check in to.

In 1988 I knew a young AF couple who bought a shiny new car in their home state of Oregon. They drove to their new duty station (Wright-Patt) on their temporary plates, figuring to register the car in Ohio.

The state of Ohio said, fine, welcome, by the way you have to pay Ohio sales tax on the purchase price. They checked with JAG and sure enuf, Ohio would do that if you wanted to title/register the car in the Buckeye State.

Not saying this will apply to you, just saying it happened in OH in the distant past.

Thanks for your input PO. This purchase is about 6 - 7 months away and it may not happen. In the 50+ years I have had a driver's license, I only owned one new car. Must be time for another one.

C0B today (Thursday 12/Twenty-third)
G fund 95%

S fund 5%

I read somewhere the market may drop 1% or more next week. Hope it doesn't wipe out all my gains this year!

To all, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

In case anyone is wondering, that makes him old.:D
Hint: I was drafted but served in the Air Force.

If you bought it when you first got your drivers license that makes it old.
The car was new. Ordered it while on Okinawa and picked it up in Dallas upon arrival back in the good ole USA.

Well deserved I'm sure.
MERRY CHRISTMAS HB

Hope all had (or will have) a wonderful Christmas.

Hey! I've never bought a NEW CAR! My way of doing business suggests that it makes more sense to buy a used car with less than 10K miles on it, works for me.:D FRUGAL or is it CHEAP?:toung:

I'd call it smart. I see used cars here that are certified, late models, with good prices. My present car, a 1988 Subaru I purchased from private owner two years ago. Still runs good but I want to make some longer trips here and maybe out of state.

My only new car cost $2,200 some years ago.

This year on the tracker I have been in the 300's, 400s, and 500's. Now at #348 with gain of 1.66% in the S fund 100%. I'll stay there til ............

My last IFT submited cob Feb first as follows:
C fund 5%
S fund 7%
I fund 1%
L2020 17%
L fund 70%

Left for Sin City 2/6th for a short vacation. Figured above fund amounts to be safe from big loss.

2/4th I had gain of 1.67% for year. Returned 2/11 and find my gain for year is now 2.26%:D. Now I want back to the 300s on the tracker:cool:.

I need to change my printer cartridge. See its printing a little light.
