My wife was furloughed. Hope she gets paid. Thank God for our "emergency fund", just in case.

Not today, but I'm Working Capital, and they can turn off the overhead payments at anytime....So today I found out it's day-to-day......But I'm not doing any project work until they say so....mostly "in-house" training..

I was wondering if my retirement check would arrive today. Posted this morning in the checking account. :D

Yes, furloughed, hope get paid, and tg for the emergency fund, just in case.

Both sides at fault. Lets replace all of them and get some term limits in place.

NASA,

Let's just cut them. We really don't need to replace them either...

And, yes, me was furloughed as Jar Jar Binks would say

Not furloughed, but I have to record my hours under the code for furlough until the shutdown is ended and I can send in corrected T&A's. If you know what AUO is, I have to track that separately from the furlough hours, but they say there is no guarantee of payment once the CR or budget is passed. Interesting that they would put themselves into a suffer or permit lawsuit situation, but I'm not surprised.

I was not furloughed...just in basic category of "you must come to work and you'll probably get paid later on"

But I think of the famous quote "No man is an island unto themselves...ask not for whom the bell tolls...it tolls for thee."

I am no more essential than any one of you that was furloughed...I hope this ends quickly for all of you....and that you get back pay in the end.
Interesting choice of words. I hope they get back pay sent to their bank accounts. They're getting enough in the end as it is!

Folks,

Why are we talking wistfully about the sixth CR in a row. They are supposed to be emergency spending to get a budget passed and funded.

By the way, I am wondering what the bottom line number for FY2014 (the CR???) is. Is it higher than current spending + inflation? Does anyone know this?

Just a reminder to you guys in a non-pay status. Be sure to deselect the auto pay function in your banks bill pay system. I don't know if your bank will stop the payment if you have nothing coming in. You wouldn't like to get over draft fees also. Just a suggestion.
