Frorule's Account Talk

I reduced my risk from 100% S to 50% S/50% G. Plan on selling the other half next Friday, hoping to catching the mini T-giving rally. Have a good weekend all.

Went all in today, 50% C, 50% S. I was more excited when everything was down this morning. So much for getting a good price. Oh well, buy high and sell higher, right?

Thanks, I see that now. That's good for him and all followers. My system's sell signal disappeared after the 1pm sell-off. Now I'm showing a hold, also. Silly noon deadline strikes again!! Grrrr.

Well, it turned out to be a sell afterall. Just barely, though. And just like that, after 2 days, I'm out of IFT's....

Thanks Frixxx. I'm out again. Got a sell signal... just like IT. 90 G, 5 C, 5 S.

Frorule, If you are 90G, 5C, 5S you still have the <1% option for the rest of the month. With this option you can continue to add to the C & S funds. Read the "<1% option" account for more information. If you have any questions give me a holler.

That's awesome, nasa. Thanks.

As for the market, I suspect we'll see a bit more selling early next week, setting us up for a good buying opportunity just in time for our new IFT's. :)

Loved the comment with your IFT today.

Thanks, Tom. :) Turned out to be a shorter stint in the S-fund than I would've liked...my system is giving yet another sell/short signal (see link in sig if interested). This relentless rally has me doubting my own signals though, at least the short signals, so I left 50% in stocks just in case we continue to go TO THE MOON!!

The relatively big spike in the VIX earlier this afternoon just nixed my short signal I was getting. In an uptrending market my system will only short when the VIX is down considerably. So, I guess I'm glad I left 50% in the market... (25C, 25S)

My ETF trading signals can now be sent live to your cell phone or email via twitter. The link is now on my page. The signals are generated by a timing model I developed last year. In no way shape or form can my signals be used with our TSP, but if you have an outside personal trading account, feel free to follow. My system is up almost 40% this year trading TNA and TZA.

Frorule,

How can I follow your signals if I have a scottrade account that I have to wait for 3 days after I sell a position to be able to buy a new position. I can't remember what the term is for that restriction but it would make it impossible to follow you if you got a quick buy signal after a sell signal. Any suggestions?

Settlement Time (3 business days for stocks and ETFs)

I only use 1/3 of my account to trade, unless the trend continues and then I use the next 1/3; saving the last 1/3 for the next signal. If I used my entire account (would require a close stop), then I would be out for 3 days and lose on possible gains...

Well, that is how I am doing it now...
