Frixxxx's Account Talk!

Wow, haven't been able to keep up with the market this past week. just wow.

The mods know, but I will mention it now: My wife took a fall and needed emergency kyphoplasty on L1 and L2. The couch has been her bed for the last three days since being released from the hospital. Checkup today, but I have to go to work to get my furlough letter.

Kyphoplasty

What a fun week, NOT!

Prayers sent Frixxxx. May your wife heal completely.

Probably looking at tomorrow as a time to go to safety.

Looks like Consumer confidence took a hit today. Delayed affect on the market...

Egypt not helping.....

If preliminary numbers for employment are off, then I may just protect the 11% I got this year and sit on my seed corn for a while.

Here's to hoping there is a reason to go to safety tomorrow or Friday!!

Remember:

From www.tsp.gov
Holiday Closing — Some financial markets will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The Thrift Savings Plan will also be closed. Transactions that would have been processed Thursday night (July 4th) will be processed Friday night (July 5th), at Friday's closing share prices.

Ditto...but if someone makes a move in the morning will it take effect on Friday? I though TSP was closed on Friday so the transfer would not go through till Monday.

Good call Frixxx! Don't see a lot of folks wanting to ride this market out over a long holiday weekend with light volume. Could be ugly!

tsp. gov only reports the 4th of July closed. Request made after 1200 noon tomorrow will be processed on Friday the 5th.

Hmmmm

Oh well, I was hoping for flatline movement last night, so now I will be in over the weekend.

I wouldn't worry about it... looks like the dip buyers are coming in to save the day...

Lets see how the 50 MA defends itself, or rolls over like a cheap Republican...

Re: Hmmmm

Son, there are no cheap Republicans, that's why we are held in so much disdain - we earn our keep. I'm proud to be a born again Republican and a cracker at the same time.

3 reason's I stayed in today:

1. I think we saw too much influence from the far east at the open.
2. Although I hate the numbers game on employment, still a feel good indicator..
3. Birchtree posted on my thread!:D

Plus, who wants to move this early in the month with only 2 IFT's?

If I was in/long, I'd stay in/long. That alone should scare the crap out of you! :D

Well, after this rollercoaster ride today, it will get interesting next week.

With just under 12 years before retirement, I was reminded by CINCHouse that she would like to retire one day. I am getting skeptical on the housing market. I think investors are going to stop lifting this soon as the prime real estate for renting will be scarce.

Gold sellers are trying to get into the market, but not being successful at getting in at good prices, so this may get stagnate soon as well.

Which goes to the argument that mattresses are filling up.

I didn't like the numbers today on employment. Full-time jobs are what is needed.

Have a great weekend and be safe!
