Frixxxx's Account Talk!

It's only to be expected. :cheesy: Watch out over the next couple of days as people sell their dogs before the end of the year to offset this year’s large capital gains. :suspicious:

You could easily see a mad rush to get through the front door at any moment - get me in at any price will resonate throughout the merry halls. I'll be doing more buying tomorrow.

Re: Hmmmm

I wonder with the employer mandate coming next year now, if the unemployment numbers will be divided into benefit/non-benefit numbers?

Will the numbers being posted show something like:

100,000 benefits paid claims
200,000 non-benefit claims

to show the difference in the type of work?

Re: Hmmmm

2013, What a wonderful investment year. I never trusted the B&H method this year but will be glad with what I took. (I base my performance against goal and my goal was 12%)

So, getting 28% this year was nice! It puts me ahead of my goals and sweetens the pot for retirement. Now, the rough part.....since we can't really go year by year on performance, the strategy must continue out as it has before. Now, where are we looking? Black swans...yes they are out there and I think they are still hovering in the distance.....Ready to drop. I also think as we get closer to the elections in November, we will see where the markets will be staged during the end of this administration, and postitioning themselves forward.

Now, set your goals, and read this site.

I have been negative only one year (2008 -11%) since joining and will make sure to watch the key players.

Shoutouts:
Tom-for the site!
coolhand for going premium this year...Well Done!
RMI - be safe over there
James and FWM - for, well, those who want to can read the debates we will never agree upon.
bquat and oleg - you guys are a great new infusion on the boards
BT - for being a true steadfast investor

and my fellow moderators nnuut and nasa!

Thanks everyone for a wonderful year and look forward to another double digit growth this year.....

As always,

:cool:HAPPY INVESTING:cool:

Re: Hmmmm

And the best to you, your family and your investments in the coming new year. Money isn't everything but when you don't have any life is HELL!

Re: Hmmmm

So I log into my computer this morning. I check futures on my phone and computer to see Reuter has +100 and I smile and do something else. Get ready for work, drive in, and as I'm sitting down to my desk, my phone alerts me of the futures and it's -33.00. I make the decision to never drive to work again. Wish I had time to figure out what happened in the course of an hour.

Anyway, The countdown to retire continues.....Hope I have enough!

Re: Hmmmm

Markets are showing down today.....Europe a little green.....Oh well, looking for good buys today.

I'm thankful that the market will be moving a little sideways today.....Now that I'm only off -2.38% I'm probably going to to the expert "Uptrend" for guidance......

Yellen speaks for the first time tomorrow to Congress, should set the stage for things to come......

Well, the wall is up and it's built out of worry.....

I'm buying all the way into it and not looking back right now....

Back into positive territory and hoping to add more......

Here's to getting past the F Fund this year.

Hey all,

Been doing my "Two Weeks" with the USAF Reserves. 50% through it.....I'm performing as the White Cell guy so I've a ton of prep work. I will be sparse again this week as well. Then the two day exercise this weekend.

I'm hoping for a better March as I'm 7% behind on my annual requirement of 8%.

Since we have mid-term elections this year and an expected breather from last year, I will need to get crafty with my moves.....So, those in the top 50 on the AT, Gratz!

Can't wait for April to get here so I can take some much need vacation time....

As always~Happy Investing!

Looks like Fed decided to detach the unemployment numbers from rates.

Well, really? even if you employed all those people at Burger King, does that mean the economy is doing great?

"We're the fed......We use lagging indicators to make real-time decisions."

Oh well, thank you for the 1% today....

Horses out quick for a starting sprint, but I don't think the race will be a record.....Now if they can just hold some steam for me to be in the green.

Re: Hmmmm

Well, got sick on Memorial Day, turned into a hacking cough and two days off (additional). Now off to work today, about 75% but hey, that's what Dayquil is for right?

Yesterday, got my, what seems to be annual, notice from the IRS of an audit. Apparently, I have to justify my moving expenses and validate my employment for 2012. Really? I work for the government? You don't know this? WOW, does my government get more stupid as the years go on?

Oh well, my wife the pack rat pulled the file last night. Can I charge the IRS for this work? Maybe get some of that bonus money in my pocket.
