Frixxxx's Account Talk!

Happy New Year!

Well, I'm back! Started the year off right with my beautiful wife and two kids (and a fiance to my daughter) on a big boat in the Carribean. No market, No Foreign Exchange, No Stress!

Wow!! It's great to have you back. Here's a BIG HUG...hey it's cool we're brothers...remember :)

What an absolutely PERFECT WAY to start the new year off. I hope the future son in law has a clue how great you guys really are.

I noticed the talk was quiet today. A lot have been kind of 'holding their breath' cause we just don't know and it's a little scarey...

I am 100% G. (Rumor has it that I'll be there at least until April)
That's pretty much my plan. BUT I need to beat the G Fund to get out of the '30' or so of us locked together. So I patiently sit back and wait for Excellent Weakness with huge drops...

Special note: The citizens of Antigua named the highest point of the island - Mount Obama, in recognition of his presidential election win. I asked our taxi driver after he told me this what he has done to warrant such an honor. Response - he was elected as president!
Amen !!! and he's got Paul on his team - who is way better than Alan could ever hope to be - and would even beat Ben for that matter.

To all my friends here Good Luck this year!
This will be a wonderful year; I just got my 'good luck charm' back. Thank you!!!

I haven't read everything since I left.
We are going through the Standard Recession - with identical characteristics of previous ones. The economy is essentially just beginning 'A CONTRACTION' - which will likely blend with 'a cooling' then follow with a Huge BULL MARKET

Steady, nnut, Corvette, Lady, SB & CB -> You guys ROCK!!!!

Still missing ya L2R!

You ROCK TOO!!! my friend. We feed off each other and when one is missing it's just not the same. L2R is bound to come back - but for now let's celebrate your return. :toung:

Woe is me, well maybe not....Still 100% G.

My Forex accounts hopped like a gazelle this morning and I took a 5% day with open arms. Oil being down supported the rally as well as the drop in the Asian markets. I may try and squeeze out another 3-4% throughout the day.

I think when the unemployment numbers sink in to the heads of Wall Street and that unemployed people stay unemployed for a long time in this economy, they'll start setting reasonable expectations and reasonable return/loss targets.

I can't believe Steve Jobs holds that much power over the Apple company. I really want to meet this man. He has proven to me that you can be important and respected and influence change in a torrential environment. But, interestingly enough, no one seems to trust the folks around him. I dare say that this may be the only chink in his armor of leadership.

By the way, I have been talking to my cohorts in my Forex endeavor and we are looking at the next bail-out requests:

Might be an interesting read.

Great investing means never having to work longer than you expect to.

Welcome back Frixxxx,

I wish I was sitting in the G for the past 2 days, so you're sitting pretty from this view. :D

Wow...what a bounce....will it stay green today?

More than likely!

The main thing is knowing what is happening now - is preparing us for a much better day tomorrow :D:D

It's funny because during lunch I kept telling the psychiatrist I work with 'The day's not over yet'

I hate being on the west coast.....I had my finger on the trigger for a jump in for tomorrow. Alas, my coffee depraved mind caused me to miss the deadline for the trade.

oh well....staying the course for now!

Well, I lucked out today and I am so glad there was a coffee shortage in my cup yesterday.

Still 100% G:notrust:

Wow, look at all the losses being posted. Circuit City finally bit it. The only thing about this market is my Forex accounts made their 5% last night and I might take 10% by 1:00 PM this afternoon.

This is great as my new "side" business is official.

Will start posting results and findings on the currency market more for others to follow.

When a lot of that money starts hitting the economy in the next few months - and it's an unprecedented amount. Add in record low interest rates and still dropping 30 year fixed rates and you have a play book for the market to move up in a big way as it anticipates the explosive recovery that is ingrained. We are currently starting a bullish advance that will last into July - so I believe. Waiting for any hard evidence to reveal itself is the consensus approach - however the market will be much higher before that happens. The market simply can be six months to a year and a half ahead of the economy - makes it tough to time. Therefore, time in the market can often be more rewarding than timing the markets.

You mean 1.5 Trillion
TARP 700 + 850 Obama Bucks

Plus any Bank that needs a Bailout not including the Tarps.

You would not Believe what someone showed me last night from there

job on paper last night. Then Shredded....

Heh, why does it matter when we already are in the hole over a Trillon? Paybacks are already going to be....
Are we proposing starting to pay off our debt, instead? As in raise taxes? I wish we had paid forward earlier when we weren't in a recession.

Just like the first batch of money hit the markets? It didn't! It's in a vault covering O&E right now and that's scary.

Since not being able to view something on the web at work seems 'normal'...

I wonder how many of us are on the Non-Mission Capable Internet (NMCI)???

Yuk, yuk...

What can you expect for $11 Billion dollars?

Maybe 11 bailouts!!!

or, 4 aircraft carriers

or, 6 B2 bombers

or, 245 Raptors

or, a network that allows your employer the ability to install mission critical applications sponsored by that employer without six months of 'intensive' testing...

Well, still 100% G.

I have iGoogle as my homepage. I get to set up all these neat gadgets to give me statuses at a glance of things that interest me.

One of these gadgets is My TSP Portfolio that lets me input my shares and it keeps me up to date on the value of my accounts.

Since August 08, I have had Green days everyday. GREEEN!!!!!

Today was interesting. I watched Oil go up. I watched the USD/JPY drop 250pips (+15%) day. That means the USD was tanking against the Yen. But I watched the market go up.

I see hope springs eternal and nothing will keep investors out on somedays.

Anyway, Good Luck to those in the market. I need to "puff" on what Steady's smokin on his thread!!!!!!

P.S. read this article and see if this sounds like a shell game. (Bottom half)

And subprime was contained?

If these banks were well capitalized, why are we giving them tax payer money?

Freeing up banks' balance sheets so that they can lend is just one small part of the equation. The other part, and this is a big one, is that you need qualified borrowers that want to spend.

She's an idiot.

Well, still 100% G.

Nothing like peace and safety ;)

Since August 08, I have had Green days everyday. GREEEN!!!!!

That is absolutely WONDERFUL !!
You beat me by a significant margin by getting out before the September disaster...but I've been GREEN ever since getting out and when you look at the Charts - that is very amazing.

I need to "puff" on what Steady's smokin on his thread!!!!!!

It would be like riding on a magic carpet in real life - experiencing tranquility that transcends the imagination and the assurance that it will never end....but when the puffs run out..

They were not prepared for the magnitude of what transpired. The cancer had spread so far and was so deep - it caught everyone by surprise.

General rule - when you need something make the tax payers pay for it. :embarrest:

Very true

She's an idiot.
Actually she's pretty smart and hoping all of us are idiots for buying her crap. I can picture her walking to her boss with a little grin and saying, "This is bound to do the job"...and the boss looking up with an approving grin.
