Forbes wants to cut Gov't Pay

Can't tax the church here, that would be a violation of the segregation of church and state. Then they would have to give the curch a say in politics:suspicious:

Really, cut Federal workers pay by 10%? How about you get all the lawmakers to take 10% first. Also, lower their outlay for FEHB.
Really? Do you think you could be so flippant with a decision like that?
Fire the Czars...Fire Their Staffs....Fire the support for them as well.
Stop paying for freakin White House China. Stop paying for redecoration. Decorate the House with all the historical artificats and then leave it alone. I don't get to redecorate every four years, neither should a public servant.
If we dropped the DOE we could easily pay for Federal employee pay raises for the next 5 years. DOE is synonomous with DOA. We have never removed our dependence on foreign oil, and we're nowhere closer on the issue.
Homeland Security? WTF? FBI already exists and realigning departments to support this effort lowers cost of executive pay.
Execution of Federal Policy is paid in cash to the states that have to provide it. By law, not by agencies.
DOT should disseminate the funds back to the states % wise.... A guy in North Dakota knows how to ensure the laws imposed by the Federal government. Require state reviews of other states to verify compliance.
You want to eliminate "federal" costs: reduce the programs that are duplicate efforts at the state levels. The states already know their requirements and if you need to support them, pay them. Department of Education should just be sending states their % of funds.....
If there are jobs available to do these functions, then the federal workers should have the ability to fill these jobs.
I work for the military, which our government is required to stand up per the Constitution....If the job is Constitutionally justified then it should be left alone...else GO!

Wesbury and Stein aren't telling the full story, Fed pay is high on average because the bulk of low-level GS'ers were done away with several years ago. This awful idea would only add to deflationary pressures. How about we recoup TARP and some of that $45 B the Fed made last year?
