Is it wise at this time to dump all to G during this whole Russian thing? Perhaps let it die down and come back to the high risk in a month or so, or whenever...

Opinion ...not advice! It seems too late to dump but would definitely consider sell during next rally. I think the market will go further down after that, but I would keep close eye in charts. Anything at this point is high risk and market could do anything.
