Dow Drops 271 Points as Market Breadth Takes a Hit
3:14 p.m. The stock market is suffering from a case of bad breadth. Breadth has been very good since the stock market bottomed on Dec. 24. Many observers, including yours truly argued that a new-high there would eventually be following by a new high from the stock market.
