Well, so far it looks like I should be thankful yesterdays IFT to 50% G failed (past the deadline). Now the question remains do I cancel todays IFT and stay in or take a little to safety???

Is there anyone out there trading or shorting the VIX in an IRA acct?

Would be interested in learning if anyone thinks we are poised for it to climb to previous highs... and a little dialog on what triggers volatility and what indicators signal a probable turn and burn.

I will pick up TVIX this am if it hits my short term target of 15.02. I would be surprised if the market does not pull back a little by the end of the day. As always this will be a short term trade 1 to 2 days at most and may only last hours or min. if it goes the wrong way.

Guppie, Thanks for the info! How did you decide where your buy-in target is? Do you have a sell target too?

I bought at 15.02 sold at 15.22 when the NASDAQ rolled back up and bought at 14.90 again near the close. As far as my buy sell prices I wing it. I was disappointed to see the lower close as I thought the 14.87 low set earlier in the day would hold.
