"Boat Lift of 9/11" - 500,000 people lifted off Lower Manhattan in 9 hours! I have never heard of this remarkable story since the 9/11 attacks. These seaman are brave unsung heroes in one of our countries darkest hours. I am filled with such pride, joy and love for these men who stepped up with little regard for their lives and reached out to help fellow citizens. It is heartening to know as Americans we can put aside our racial, political, and religious differences to step up and have each other's back in times of crisis. It would be even greater if we did have each other's back all the time.
