Pretty neat engineering but how does it hold up in a front end to side door crash (T-bone)?

Nothing is supposed to make sense in these vids. Jim's reminded me of some of the factory auto trans classes I went to back in the day. Instructors more interested in showing how smart they were instead of saying something like "then you shift in to second gear depending of course on the position of valves (add your own names, I ferget) applying hydraulic pressure through valve body orifces (again add your own) and actuating servos 2 and three and therefore forcing planetary gear set b and c..."

Sort of funny anyhow. I am still tryng to see if I can identify anything in Buster's vid. All that stuff looks vaugely familiar.
