Concerning current recommended allocation....

:?Concerning Tom's current recommended allocation (G-40, C-60), considering that stocks are expected to badly all week, why is this wiser than going all into G until things start looking up? I'm thinking of going all into G, am I too late? or is it a safe guess that the stocks will continue to do poorly through this short week?

The problem is we don't know if the market will bottom today, next week, next month??? As I talked about in http://www.tsptalk.com/comments.html, many of theindicators are looking good. but we have no guarantees, which is why I am moving in slowly.

Hope that helps,
Tom

Tom, I'm going to stick with you on this and try to get a feel for the market by shuffling and watching. I've never done this before. I'm on vacation this week and I've been able to watch the website closely, but that is not usually the case. If watching the market and making Interfund transfers becomes too much for me to monitor, I will probably go with your long-term aggressive buy/hold allocation. My horizon is 10 years. So, during that time, I'll obsess about when to re-allocate as my horizon draws near! Always obsessing, rarely understanding, but trying!;)

Thanks.
