Duke beat Gonzaga this weekend. Think they will leap over UCLA and Purdue and be #1 in the next AP poll?

I'm still deep in the NCAAF drama so haven't have much time to get a start on basketball yet. NCAAF Conference Championships next weekend, Stoops coming out of retirement to coach Oklahoma, SEC between Georgia and Alabama, Cincinnati (basketball school) ranked in top 4... I'll be able to better assess basketball once my head is straight in a few weeks.

This coaching carousel is really something. Brian Kelly to LSU...why? I hope not just for more money. And now Cincinnati might lose their coach to Notre Dame...and poor Fresno State loses their 2nd year coach to the dang Huskies. The pressure to win just gets more and more intense. Got to keep those donors happy and the money flowing.

In basketball, I was thinking my Cougs might actually challenge the Ducks and Bruins for the Pac-12 title this year, but not after that stinker a couple days ago losing to Eastern Washington. Still a work in progress I guess.

I didn't see that UCLA lost over the weekend, so Baylor snuck into #4. UCLA #5.
