China introduces subsidies amid food shortages

They need to stop burning their manure for fuel and use it in their home gardens. Nothing like a little Black Cow to perk up those vegetables - just ask my tomatoes.

Manure? You mean coal *cough cough* don't you? :( Nothing like coal smoke to do wonders for your vegetable gardens. And I'm not talking about Global Warming, I'm talking about Sulfur dioxide.

They can't help it -- and I don't seriously believe any other Nation in their place could either.

Think about it - when we were kids China was in the 'Dark Ages' and no one would ever have thought about them becoming hugely dominate -- especially to think we would totally depend on them for our survival and borrowing $ Trillions of dollars ~ in conjunction with a $268 Billion trade deficit gap to their favor.

They are essentially where we were 100 years prior with the Industrial Revelotion making us greater and greater and all of our Companies and Industries bursting at the seams.....

The bulk of our energy comes from 'coal' so we have little room to talk.

I met Bill Gates a few years prior and he stressed that whatever we think about the computer and how it's changed the world is NOTHING compared to what's to come in the years ahead.

I'd say that's true for China -- they are barely starting to rise to power.

The best news is an outright acquistion of US assests largely spares China and India from 'export quotas' that would vilolate WTO regulatoins.

China signed an agreement early this month for 20 years processing capacity at Cheniere's Subine Pass LNG Terminal --border of LA/TX

China paid $216 B for 33.3% of Chesapeake Energy dealings.

India is now buying stakes in mines throughout continential US

India bought $3.4 B stakes in 3 US Companies already this year

India acquired Trinity Coal in March -- has a lot of active mines in WVa and KY

I can see it now -- they'll charge us twice the price for our own stuff

Oh well - one day at a time -- the best we can do :)
