While I haven't been blogging as of late, I have been watching the markets from the sidelines. Here are some of my excuses for not blogging.
For one thing I let my subscription to Stockcharts.com expire. There wasn't anything wrong with the service, it functioned well and the extra tools were really fun to play with. In addition, the different timeframes such as the 15 & 60 minute charts really opened up my perspective on the subtle changes that take place in the price actions and trends.
A couple of weeks before my subscription expired, I gave my kids my prized Desktop computer, and picked up an Acer Aspire one 10.1" netbook. The following weeks were spent tweaking, tweaking and tweaking. I have to say, I really like the mobility it gives me, but the downside is the small 10.1" screen. With a screen this size it is difficult to work with and utilize full sized stockcharts.com pictures.

I also picked up a Samsung Exclaim (duel slider) phone and have spent many hours hacking and tweaking it. OS wise it's a step down from Windows mobile 6, but I have been able to use it as a modem for my netbook, install Opera mini, MGMaps. Overall the phone works great, I love the duel slider because I need "real" digits for my fat thumbs. I also like the Youtube.

As for my ROTH IRA, I held positions in SLW, SIRI, & IO. For the last couple of months these positions just sort of churned along without really doing anything. But recently SLW & SIRI hit my price objectives, so I cashed out for a reasonable profit. Therefore I'm now sitting 80% cash and looking for my next buy.
