We have completely sold our country down the river. This administration makes the unknowing, aka 95% of America, believe that this nation's biggest threats are global warming, the lack of ethanol use, keeping a bankrupt GM from going even more bankrupt and lack of health care for hypochondriacs.
Meanwhile, as the US stares at the grins from a bald headed nerd on CNBC who 'does gods work' as he pleads the 5th like OJ Simpson when posed with the tough questions, North Korea has wiped out a South Korea ship, Iran continues to build it's nuclear arsenal, and I------ Terrorism (I've gotta be politically correct here) continues to be a threat to America. I haven't even mentioned Russia yet.
Our leaders have let the guard down and stopped the nuclear warfare build that is, like it or not, essential to our national security. Do you think China, Russia or North Korea gives a hoot about how much smoke they billow into the earths atmosphere? Combined, they are currently blowing much more than the US is but here we go, save the planet, trash big business, and pass the costs onto the middle class all in a hope to keep the oligarchs from facing the real problems in this world.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to our materialistic society is the stock market. If it's going up, things are happy and well. When it's going down, it's the evil short sellers and bears like me who understand that there is no man behind the curtain. As the world turns, Americans are too busy looking down at their iPhone that they make minimum $15 payments for on a credit card so they have more money to buy apps that can tell them what color paint is on their walls.
Who pays for this? Let's see. I'd say at this point we're onto my grandchildren, who by the way, aren't even a distant thought yet.
