Spidey is very concerned that everything is revolving around the 5 Day which usually doesn't happen for this long. He has a feeling that the trading programs are in a hum waiting for a specific level to be broken one way or the other. He's at 55/45 for the down tick.:blink:

Maybe they are waiting for a move in Ukraine or in Australia before the weekend?

The C fund has yet to admit that it has a failed breakout move: There I told it and I want to see the move before the deadline:

IMHO- There are a lot of folks who missed a bunch of gains this year because of the nice run since 2009 had them thinking correction/consolidation. A bunch, me included are behind the 8 ball, with some having nice annual gains, profit taking and those behind the 8 ball trying to close out well enough to pat them selves on the back we could easily drift 1% either direction for the next 6 weeks. We could also melt up to 18,000 on the DOW by Christmas.

Normally I would say you are right but why is Christmas season superseding Thanksgiving this year? Retailers a running scared and starting Black Friday the day after Halloween instead of Thanksgiving: People will soon figure that out.

I agree that people will figure it out...but will they or the markets care? I am waiting for a direction off of this 5 day flat rut we are in and will then get in (if up) or wait for 1995ish or 1975ish to get in (if down). Have a great weekend!!!

Precisely a bull trap imo. But it could be one NICE push for the trap. Not getting greedy so will be looking for the exits soon on some equities. I'm in F right now. Take a look at Uptrend's topping pattern on his thread. VERY interesting. Some indicators seem to max out early, way before one would think they should. Like the stoch RSI regular RSI and even the ADX. The potential bull hot zone would be with the RSI pushing over the 75 mark. But, if you run through many of the indices and see how often it breaks the 70 mark? It just can't quite break through the 75. Each time I've been there it amazes me that it sells itself short right before the caboose can whisper it's last. "I think I can!" lol Wish everyone the best.

Even though we're above my buy level Spidey won't let me jump. No Spidey is not Uptrend.
