Bquat's Account Talk

Bottom of channel still holding. I am a little concerned that the top of the channel hasn't been reached.:worried:

Agreed...but that may present a good buy soon (I hope). 1808 is probably out though...somewhere around 1822 maybe?

Coiling for a bigger move: 1820 maybe.:worried: Isometric triangle can break either way but since we're near the top I'm guessing down. I hate to miss 1868 since I'm out.

Looks like F fund is on the move up as well as C,S, and I. How long will that continue?
Not long. The F fund isn't moving that fast but you should see the momentum increase to confirm more weakness in stocks.

I've been moving to G bit by bit. I have 10% in both C & S... I guess that's how I'll ride out this week until the market decides which way it's big move will be.

Starting to get that momentum on the F going into the close...but without the corresponding weakness stocks. I am so confused!!! I feel like I did when they put us at two moves a month.

May of 2008...I remember it well because that is when I stopped making money hand over fist and had to start learning this financial stuff a whole lot better. LOL!!! (and cry at the same time)

First, the trade restrictions came into effect somewhere around summer 2008. Second, my opinion, I would NOT use TSP funds for your house unless you're certain you can repay the TSP loan within a year. There's no magic to one year, but I've seen many make the mistake of taking a $50K loan from TSP for their down payment - and never pay it back. That most significantly reduces the earning power of their TSP accounts, and that's just MAJOR BAD NEWS if they survive their govt jobs to reach retirement.

The restrictions make me mad  2 free moves anyway I want to make them. Then I can bleed unlimited trades into to G...... why!?!? Sigh :embarrest:

Thanks for the advice. To be honest that's my biggest fear, losing potential earnings in a bull market. If I'm lucky I'd expect to have around 18,000 in my TSP by fall. So we're not looking at a huge loan, but it'd be enough to make a little difference.

Yea just borrow enough for closing, a couple months for utilities and move in expenses. They don't like you to borrow for closing but I don't think they'll see TSP loan on credit report.:D Just have it in the bank a couple of months prior to buying.

That's a nice looking ladder. The breakout to the upside should be awe-inspiring. 1880? 1900? You tell me.;)
If we do break to the upside, I tell you 1868 tops. But I think we're now at 70/30 chance to go down.

By the way, I try not to ladder when I'm out. Don't make me miss gain, but for you I will.:D

With only 18000 I wouldn't touch it unless you can pay it back in under a year...just my 2 cents but your net gains in 20 years will be hugely effected by touching this now.

I tried three different step lengths but couldn't line up rungs on any market pulse. I tried for you guys that are in.
