Profitability resides in the ride ahead. The greater the duration of this line of consolidation the more significant the direction of the trend on breakout. You can hit bulls with all manner of negative data and nothing seems to stop them. Why? Because zero interest rates and overwhelming liquidity means risk taking has no negative consequences unless you are out of the market.

I have changed the top rung to white with this mornings move. I have a better outlook since this move up and the real show of resistance at 1580ish which is now strong support plus the light white line is working well now. My last no exit may be my new no exit.

Yep! It was an omen that I missed the transfer yesterday! I will move up my exit line considerably if this action continues into tomorrow. Think 1600 by COB tomorrow?

You know what's even better? I went back and put back in the channel from the 2nd and 3rd peaks back and were above that peak line. I think there's a 60/40 chance I'll need a bigger ladder. Just have to build some support on my no exit line.

I agree...but there is a new ceiling in the 1603 area that will have to fall for a confirmation of your longer rungs.

I'm more worried about 1598 and a formation of a double top large M for murder. 1603 I think will cause shorts to maybe cover. Next line I have is 1615. 1580 may be my new exit. Surprised we're showing weakness here after breaking the light blue line. Probably waiting for the deadline again, right?

Oh I got you now. If we drop for that rung, I think we go down with a failed new high. I was hoping to exit the ladder from above but even that is looking less likely. Deadlining the deadline. Thinking? Need light blue line to pass retest.

I'm going for V for victory pattern. JTH isn't this a v pattern? I cut some of the threes so you can see the forest. I am still thinking of an 1580 exit. Still have double top failed move 60/40 risk/reward.:worried: Anybody may comment.

Looks like initially the GDP was bad. Playing with my exit point right now to see if it's support. Did a redraw using the peaks instead of the bottoms. Current channel is less bullish than longer channel but I can still hope for new highs but still 60/40ish.:worried:

Thanks. I had to redraw because we're doing more consolidation in time and moving to the right out of the V.:cheesy:

Testing my exit point again already. Checking if the orange channel is drawn right. Sideway consolidation is the key. No big gains to trigger profit taking and no big dips to create shorting.
