Bquat's Account Talk

I'd be inclined to follow the VIX for directional leadership today - it's still running negative into the 12 level which is positive. Well it was a minute ago - now it just popped back to 13. It's a long day yet.

I just have to determind why the light grey channel is so important to computers. Ready for user input. We should pass the head test. So let's go why don't we?;)

Im on the road. winter storm in Indy cant worry to muxh about tsp today. check back later

Head test has passed and as JTH has said we have our higher high and higher low.:) Now if the market realizes that's a bullish thing.

a pre-noon dump to get gubmint employees to head for the hills?

1564 must be some kind of psychological barrier - damn their eyes were coming thru me heartys!

It should be fun to watch the close, the shorts may have to cover, a ramp up in the last hour would be awesome.

I may do a shorter term redraw this evening if 1550ish holds. Since we have a new high, I may redo the channel for it. Even though today acted like a double top at 1563ish, it was bought. I still think we're still bullish.

at least this only cost me 80% of the loss in S today...-0.15

glad I wasnt in the I fund too.

I redrew the channel and added a top shadow. Even though we were weak today we did rally at EOD. I think we got back above some support. I also think both the channel and inverted head and shoulders are still in tack because of the little bit stronger closing. If we closed below 1546, Fab and I would be scared puppies and looking for the puddle pad.1552 is a good close but I would of prefered above the light grey line. I may refer to it as the pop up line and it's twin as the pop down line. I'm assuming they're where the programs wait for user input. So input this::)

Slight color change for Birchchart. 40/60 chance after today. Bircharting may involve more finacial risk taking especially since we're near the bottom of the channel.:notrust: Just had to do it for him.:D

Now here is a funny one for you! A short time ago my wife asked me what I was doing. I told her I was in the den checking out some financial stuff. She came into the den where I was floating around this site. All she saw was the thread postings and, as luck would have it, there were no charts up. She immediately took the opportunity (jokingly) to accuse me of cheating and that she wondered what "hoochie-mamas" were on this site (she must have been referencing some of the more colorful ladies on this site:p). I scrolled up in the postings to show her your chart and she explained to me, as I am an ignorant fool at times, that the chart was not in reference to anything financial related but only reflected the noises (which involved a lot of "Ooooohs" and "Aaaahs") said "hoochie-mamas" were making.

Talk about putting your charts in a brand new light, Bquat. And yes, my house is a very interesting, and fun, place to be!

I don't know if this is good or bad. Such a bullish move right into a tweezer top. I'm wanting it to be a bull flag. We'll have to watch and see. It can go either way. Right at my entry level go figure. Hope the S is doing better.

Lookiing better. Not acting like intraday double top. Good morning I be awake now. So less go positive.:)

My wife goes the other way with it. Who's going to do all the crap when your gone. I told her to talk to our insurance guy. They can set up an annuity for you. Then she asks why can't you do that? I say on average I can beat the 4.8 % they offered. She says yeah right.

Interesting conversation - I'm using the dividend income stream to create a better retirement. Currently all dividends are used to buy more stock but at some point in the distant future the dividends can be swept up and transfered into a checking account that should cover a life style. Dividends usually grow over time and will leave a family in good shape and can eventually be passed to an heir. Stocks are the way to roll.

Years ago my wife said she wished she had a defined pension plan and of course I agree but after setting up her own account, using her money and making stock purchases for her she don't complain anymore. When she switches from dividend reinvest to dividend to bank she'll make a nice living and that does not include her 401K that I forced on her:D
