Remember the channel is less than 2% wide. 1341 is about a 2% correction...
I don't see a 4 to 5% drop. I see 2.33% at the most.Yes, but we're holding S, and that has proven in the last couple days to be unfortunate. We might have to take a 4 or 5% haircut.![]()
Well I've been bearish for all of 2012 so far, and you see where that has gotten me. My little bear is saying we will bounce off of the May 2011 high here and go back down. How's that for doom N gloom? I'm staying out.So no contrary post about being too bullish.Ok here's a redraw of the small channel showing 5 day acting as support. Trying to stay a little bullish here. Still have the 13 day as support also.

Oh yes, my Little Bear has the same feeling and even drew his white channel with lower highs and lower lows..Well I've been bearish for all of 2012 so far, and you see where that has gotten me. Are you part Mayan?I think the S&P 500 hits 666 on Dec 21th, 2012. It'll probably go to 2000 the next trading though for an UNBELIEVABLE trade!!![]()
Normally the market turns green when you visit me. So water them flowers and let's get some spring growth going. By the way my Globe Willow is getting small leaves. The bull market will power higher as long as good people like Cactus don't start buying into it in droves and as long as the prevailing belief is that it's a cyclical bull within a secular bear.
Are you part Mayan?Don't worry you and I both will be out by then.
I'm just hoping we turn tomorrow or just a 1.5 % correction to my 13 day (brown line).
Thanks for the info.Ah dang, never mind. Maybe we hit 2012 on the S&P 500 that day instead?![]()
"The Maya calendar doesn't end in 2012, as some have said, and the ancients never viewed that year as the time of the end of the world, archaeologists say.But December 21, 2012, (give or take a day) was nonetheless momentous to the Maya."It's the time when the largest grand cycle in the Mayan calendar—1,872,000 days or 5,125.37 years—overturns and a new cycle begins," said Anthony Aveni, a Maya expert and archaeoastronomer at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. The Maya kept time on a scale few other cultures have considered.During the empire's heyday, the Maya invented the Long Count—a lengthy circular calendar that "transplanted the roots of Maya culture all the way back to creation itself," Aveni said.During the 2012 winter solstice, time runs out on the current era of the Long Count calendar, which began at what the Maya saw as the dawn of the last creation period: August 11, 3114 B.C. The Maya wrote that date, which preceded their civilization by thousands of years, as Day Zero, or 13.0.0.0.0.In December 2012 the lengthy era ends and the complicated, cyclical calendar will roll over again to Day Zero, beginning another enormous cycle."The idea is that time gets renewed, that the world gets renewed all over again—often after a period of stress—the same way we renew time on New Year's Day or even on Monday morning," said Aveni, author of The End of Time: The Maya Mystery of 2012."
