WOW...what a strong finish! I have to redraw my trend lines if the open doesn't compensate appropriately.
Here's mine: High base up to the next resistance level is bullish. I hope no profit taking from the first leg so we get a second leg.![]()

Ok it was just the retest of 1248. The bull flag is up so let's go already. Go for coffee yes?Maybe just a little profit taking to the last resistance line which is support now, Maybe a entry point for others if it holds before 12 EST. That's good for the market to retest support. I wish it was 1248 it was only testing. We can't have everything we want.![]()

Talking about Waiting to IFT time to show it't bullish move. It now shows in the 30 min. and look at the circle. The 20 period has just crossed the 200 period and the 50 period is rising. Let's break this level. And make some cookies please!![]()
Talking about Waiting to IFT time to show it't bullish move.
I decided to exit to G today, it was a nice run for me and I'm grateful to lock in a small gain. I wondered whether I should wait until tomorrow to make the move but I think people will want to exit most of their positions before they go on Christmas break, long and short, it could be a wild day and I didn't want to take a chance. It may end up higher but TSP doesn't give me that kind of luxury to be nimbler.
Next week should be quiet, it should be light volume, and I've looked at the last 10 years, the last week of the year is mostly more down (albeit slightly) than up so I don't want to take chances. I'm not sure how to attack the new year, I'm afraid of the incoming S&P downgrade of France and what that may trigger so I think I may just wait on the sidelines. I'm willing to miss out on some possible gains as the markets may inch higher, just can't afford to be invested if a flash crash occurs in the middle of a day.
We need to break through that 1258-1263 with some big volume and I just don't see it happening in the remainder of the year, but who knows. All signals show there may be a bullish move underway but we're near major resistance levels and there are no positive catalysts in sight to send the markets higher, IMO.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
