Bquat's Account Talk

Still playing with my SPDR's. Excluding news day and the associated buy back, volume in drying up for the laborday holiday and it's only Monday:

Bquat, I'm a long time lurker of yours and JT's threads and I am curious if you have heard anyone mention that their contribution to TSP are being delayed. Hopefully it is only affecting me and not everyone. I am still working under FERS and normally I see it posted on Thursdays before payday. However, this past payday there was nothing posted to my TSP account at all. I called TSP today and was advised that DFAS is behind and that contributions will post "hopefully" soon. I asked at what price our shares would be purchased at and was told whatever the price is for the posted date and not what it is was last Thursday.

Thanks for all you do. I really appreciate reading your insights and seeing the charts.

I was already grazing long before having made my move a week earlier. That is not the herd.

Back from the procedure hating the lidocaine is no longer working.

Like 5 people went to the G-Fund on Friday, you are the herd...

I don't contribute anymore (retired). I think it may be a just a delay in posting.

Should we chase? I believe not but I've been wrong before. Ok less that 1% to the top and a big gap below. We are getting to the top from a pop instead of a build and go up. The only correction (if you can call it that) was the news down spike. If I take the last run up (blue-green line) it goes 1% from where we are now. So are we near a top? I can't really say but I feel risk is greater than reward with a gap below us. There are many that think we'll get a low volume drift up for the holiday. So how you like the SPDR's?

Good question. I'm guessing that it gets resized when you upload it to this site and it's not getting saved as an animated gif. I know I've had png charts converted to jpegs when they are too big. Can you resize it smaller yourself, upload it and have it work?

P.S. If you aren't already in, I wouldn't chase from here. You are liable to get bit and that's a black widow you're chasing. :)

Good post. Thanks for your 2 cents. Being in cash since last Friday, I'm debating my next move.
Your comments make good sense. Thanks for the graphs and great avatar!

was in my email this morning

The Human Resources Division received the following message today regarding TSP contributions not posting at TSP:

"A problem was encountered with the transmission of the TSP pay files for pay period ending 09 August 2014. These files are normally posted in TSP the Thursday following pay day. Due to the large number of retirement code corrections Payroll had to create a special script to run against the files before they could be sent out. The script has been completed and the files were sent to TSP on Friday, 15 August 2014. TSP contributions and loan payments should appear in your TSP account within the next couple of days.

As for missing earnings, TSP does not consider earnings missed unless the deposit is over 30 days late."

Unless you owe them and if that's the case why do they draw my money out two days before they transfer it to me EOM?

Works for me! Works with IE9 and IE11 and WaterFox. Might be that I being a Mod I can use larger ones? I'll work on it after the Oil changes.
Be back later I'll be in the garage changing Oil in our 2 cars! FUN!
