bmneveu's Account Talk

Thanks for the quick reply. I've visited the site before and found it interesting, but wasn't sure how to apply it to the TSP.

The signals appear to change frequently ... are you trading ETFs on margin to avoid settlement issues?

I don't use margin. Could be making a whole lot more if I did I suppose, but I'm not comfortable with the idea yet.

J's system is tough to implement into TSP IFTs because his signals are given near the close, and our IFTs have to be in before noon. I try think more mid-term when considering TSP IFTs anyway.

Sold XIV @ 21.64 for about 5%.

Still 100G for TSP. Tryin to figure out what I wanna do with that. Can't imagine getting in at such a lofty level.

Futures ticking down a bit. Looks like a possible down trend starting for a healthy pullback. I'll probably consider jumping in when we dip into the mid 1400s, if I can sit on my hands that long.

Bought TZA afterhours @ $10.78. Might add more tmrw if I get more buying power.

I think you may have done well with your purchase. I've done some timing system analysis using TNA/TZA. Here's what I've found:

If timed properly, entry and exits using TNA and TZA over the last two years have averaged 25.7% per trade, and each trade lasting an average of eight weeks.

Of course, the trick is getting those entry and exits down just right. I think we're right on the cusp of a good TZA entry.

Good luck!

I've sold TZA and rebought since my last post. I sold for profit, but this new trade is taking a beating. Small caps really ramped up into the close today. Still all in G for TSP. Still waiting for a significant selloff to buy..

Gotta love coming back from deployment to find out a $0.75 unpaid toll charge (from a low E-Pass battery) has ballooned exponentially. There goes my vacation.

I imagine they should help you take care of that bill (as in letting you just pay the 75 cents and do away with the rest)...have you spoken to them about it yet?

agree i'd try to talk to them about that. sounds fucked up if they make you pay the penalties if you've been deployed

I guess someone is sensitive to language who already has Birch on ignore. I'm not sure who that is, but I'm assuming it is a she based on what Birch said.

shoot sorry about that, i tried to take the f-bomb out of my post but it won't let me edit it

some people are far too emotionally fragile. I work for the USN. You better understand what life is like in the shipyard otherwise you will be filing a lot of "hurt feelings report forms" I also provided the formal responce to said form.

time to give out some "sensitivity earplugs"

I keep getting the run around on the phone. Everyone I talk to about my situation and getting the interest and charges reduced because of my deployment says "well you need to talk to _____ about that...", whether it be SunPass (where the charge originated), the traffic court (where it was sent after so many days), or the collection agency (where it is now). I'm getting alot of "my hands are tied" responses. I gotta bite the bullet, pay it off, and hope I can get reimbursed in the near future.

Is it something you can refute and get a traffic court date on. Elected officials tend to be more sympathetic. Lay it all out worth a shot as long as court cost are not more than the accumulated charges.

Thank you, I will try to do that. For now, I made the payment and am requesting leniency by phone for my deployments. I may request a court date if that doesn't work.
