Blue is the new brown.

You are what I, and others refer to as "HATERS"....

If they don't THINK/ACT/TALK like you, HATE comes to mind.

people like you

I have co-workers like you.

Whoa Black Benny ... Bam a lam

The best way to win an argument is by Blasting the other person and convince them 'You know exactly what they are'

Nice Move - pawn advances to capture Bishop

Honestly HB, I think that you are projecting your feelings about yourself onto me.

when ever we negatively judge another person or a situation we are simply projecting our own self hate.

This is the 'I'm rubber and you're glue manuver'

Very effective strategy !!!

Rook advances to capture Queen
your constant bantering about our new president reveals your true nature.

Ha ha -- got ya there - one thing you can't hide is 'your true nature'

BUT ONLY GOD KNOWS THAT :embarrest::worried:

Well what the hell ... I just feel like a 'rascal' and a bad one at that.

SO - LISTEN GIRLS IT'S TIME STOP FUSSIN' and get along.

That's it kittens --- give each other a hug and run along.

You do believe 100% in Minority Rights, correct?

I believe in Human rights, period. However, your constant bantering about our new president reveals your true nature.

Even I gave Bush ll a chance, and until he started targeting unions, via laws, executive orders, and the A-76 procedures to begin contracting out (his administration completed the largest contracting out of federal employees, Flight Service Stations with the help of Ted Stevens from Alaska), using "National Security Issues" as a means to deny TSA and other employees from having a credible voice and more, well, it took a few years for me to truly dislike him. And, to top it off, conjure up all sorts of illicit reasons to start a war in Iraq.....etc, etc.

But, just like noses, you have an opinion, however skewed. And no, I don't hate anyone, especially myself. I love me, and feel sorry for some....

What ever we feel on the inside is what we will project on the outside and when ever we negatively judge another person or a situation we are simply projecting our own self hate.

Get used to it. You ARE in the minority.

In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

But, in the end, every vote counted......nice try though.
You are what I, and others refer to as "HATERS"....

If they don't THINK/ACT/TALK like you, HATE comes to mind. Suffice it to say that, in a few decades, people like you WILL become a Minority, and I suggest you are one already. I have co-workers like you. My best solution is to Ignore them. Like my co-workers, they eventually go away.
I'm sure you're probably spitting nails concerning Sotomayor as well.

Get used to it. You ARE in the minority.

The former US vice-president accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming. He said lack of awareness among voters allowed governments to avoid taking difficult decisions.

Humm ... sounds like a Politician on the band wagon for popularity. Look how I stand out from the others... what a crock.

The truth is EVERYTHING BOILS DOWN TO MONEY - it is the only thing that makes any difference and that's been the bottom line though ages.

Politicians aren't about to upset any business that ruins the environment No matter how much and for how long - if that business is fueling the Economy and making things look good.

Global Warming will only be an 'issue' when it can not be ignored and it's too late. Then - and only then - will the Politicians come running to the scene with shocked and concerned expressions.

Remember when the 4 most influencial Men on Earth stood together and with beautiful smiles assuring everyone that 'The Economy is doing just fine and things are OK'

Brilliant use of Hitler imagary inserted into the Obama ad.
Things must be really bad in the McCain camp for them to try to associate Obama with Hitler.

Is it even worth mentioning that Hitler lost the election in 1932? So either Obama (Hitler) is a threat, but will lose the election by 2-1 margin; or Obama (Hitler) isn't a threat, and they are deliberately trying to deceive the citizenry.

I'm sure that's probably thinking too much about it. All they probably wanted was a video with Obama's name and some swastikas together.

I look forward to the crying after the election. Brillient use of Hitler imagary inserted into the Obama ad. It will be an interesting after party!

Food for thought.

If this were the KKK, we'd all be in an uproar, but I hear no self indignation about this, so I guess it's OK ? Remember your history or you'll relive it. The brownshirts started very small during bad economic times.
The Fugitive

This was a factual event. The thing that started this thread was an artificial visual lie. Agreed we need to know and remember our history so its not repeated. What that overly enthusiastic idiot naive teacher did is not ok in any way shape or form. Deserved every ounce of the disciplinary response he got. We aren't going to have a Kristallnacht or yellow star armbands here, nor a parallel. Not happening. Enough of us know the history is true and not a myth.

As far as reaction from us here, how could there be one if people are unaware of what happened, which we weren't, so thanks for sharing something real and factual. Thankfully, it's being taken care of at the appropriate local level and quickly as it should be.

In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.

The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.

"That was Chicago politics," said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. "Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right? It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice."

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/What_is_a_troll%3F
Trolling is deliberate violation of the implicit rules of Internet social spaces. It necessarily involves a value judgment made by one user about the value of another's contribution. (Because of this it is considered not to be any more useful than the judgment 'I don't agree with you' by many users, who prefer to focus on behaviors instead of on presumed intent.)
Trolling is not necessarily the same as vandalism (although vandalism may be used to troll). A vandal may just enjoy ... spreading some personal views in an inappropriate way. A troll deliberately exploits tendencies of human nature or of an online community to upset people.
There are many types of disruptive users that are not trolls. cranks, impolite users, are not necessarily trolls. Personally I find the BlueBrown post to go far far beyond crankiness or impoliteness.
The basic mindset of a troll is that they are far more interested in how others react to their edits than in the usual concerns of [TSPTalk members]: accuracy, veracity, comprehensiveness, and overall quality. If a troll gets no response to their spurious edits, then they can hardly be considered a troll at all.

The basic policy regarding trolling is simple: please refrain.
I find trolling to be pretty disgusting, myself.

I certainly don't agree with most of those comments, but the challenge of being an American is protecting the ability for people with diametrically opposed thoughts and ideas to voice their opinions and concerns in the very same way you do your own opinions and concerns. Anything less is unAmerican.
Greg, I agree 100% with ChemEng. Voltaire said it too. "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. "

Clinton is not running a very good race. He is giving Osama a pass on his un-American past. I would prefer that Palin be on top of the ticket. She calls a club a club.

I believe Wright has a right to say whatever he wants to say. Here is what McCain said about the issue. His position seems pretty clear.

ChemEng what would you say about this issue?
