Look at the I and C fund right now - way down. The S Fund is puting up a brave fight but the blasted dollar keeps going up.

What the heck do we need a strong dollar for ANYway?

Re: Market Outlook

I didn't see this thread so I'll move my post over here...

The dollar is finding some life today, so not surprisingly, stocks are down...

Search me, I like U.S. products to be competitively priced :cheesy:. Seriously, Food, petroleum, and imported goods (including base minerals and other inputs for U.S. products) prices are all adversely affected.

Don't worry Silver, this is just a bear flag, even now getting rejected off the 78.8 level that goes quite a ways back. From here you can start looking for a US$76 floor in the next two or so months.

Ah, but Dollar lost its grip in the final hours - S Fund prevails, rises from the ashes of negativity. (i hope it holds)

C & I where are YOU?

im in the S-fund but i figure with ireland getting bail out that the dollar would go up maybe they are using U.S. dollars

The dollar is now down and hitting the day's lows right now, after some strength this morning. It may be too late in the day for today's I-fund price to benefit. We shall see.

The Dollar knows something we don't know about the FEDSPEAK today!

After an initial move lower, the dollar comes off the lows after the Fed... Now basically flat on the day.

I tell ya my timing this in 2010 has been perfect

to lose money out of my TSP.

You're in amoeba territory - maybe two heads would be better than one.

I think amoebas CAN split in two cant they? s'possibull

I love it that my blasted dollar stupid vanity post is still getting bumped to the top (even without my help)

The dollar takes a breather today closing at 4:00 PM near the lows of the day, but only down about 0.27% after yesterdays over 1% gain.

Ah for the days when my only concern about exchange rates was about how it would change my rent/utilites, how long it would take HOLA to catch up (if it ever did) and what the price of beverages would be in the local gasthaus, MBAP, taverna, pub, suljip, izakaya etc.

About those bond buyers: they have a lot of people and may be looking at a future bond for land swap if the bond issuers can't pony up the cash. I bet Washington (DC not state) would be glad to give up some of that useless federal land. Ya know like NWRs, NRAs, monuments, parks.

Besides, by that time the only people seeing this stuff will be those watching videos while "going home" as old Sol did in an old movie.

Might be a good idea to watch that movie again. 2022 is not that far off.

The blasted Dollar is on the rise this morning. Look for weakness in stocks. phoo!

It has now moved above the 200-day EMA. Today's high is 80.57. Lots of pressure on stocks and commodities.
