[$$] Asia stocks in defensive mode ahead of Fed meeting and trade talks
President Donald Trump will meet Liu He, China vice-premier, at the end of the discussions. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index was flat as consumer cyclical stocks posted a 1.2 per cent fall and the Hang Seng China Enterprises index of Hong Kong-listed Chinese companies dipped 0.1 per cent. Mainland China’s CSI 300 was down 0.2 per cent.
