I call it "Southern Idol"
Cook, Clarkson and Underwood were GREAT!:D

Actually I think this season had the best talent I've seen in a long time...

I was a big Pia fan..But mainly for her looks....The rest since her were all excellent..I see Scotty taking this one though..;)

In Weds showing of Idol, the volinist, Audy Salmon (an ex Ms Alaska) played at my youngest daughter recent wedding. Audry is married to the son of a long time dear family friend. The son, is a very accomplished dummer in his own right, and plays with the likes of Sting, and other current pop groups. A musical family indeed.

I was a huge Haley fan. I guess young country fans watch more, and text more, than us old rockers.

So do they know how to pick the right note and stay on it? Or does everyone now sing the way I've heard so often lately - - run all the way up and down and around the note to show how 'wonderfully' they can sing?

Some are different than others. I missed it this week. It doesn't come on till 10pm ET.

"The Voice" is pretty interesting if you haven't seen it. A couple of pretty good singers on there that aren't 17............

Haley got my attention with the LED ZEP song, great stuff, Too bad!

I agree, that was pretty awesome. Her low notes were very sultry..........she did a good Stevie Nicks also.

I think the judges screwed her by having her sing that Alanis Morrisette song. A bit dark for the voting teeny boppers........ I could see parents turning the channel when she sang the part "Would she go down on you in a theatre"

It's become kid based. If they had a 12 year old audition, I'm sure they would win. I actually voted Wed night for the first time ever, for Haley of course......

I'm sort of curious about Simon Cowell's new show "X factor" coming out this fall. I'm sure it'll beat watching my girlfriend's shows, "Real Housewives Of Here And There".............

This has to be the singular most worst American Idol season ever. I'm disgusted, really I am! All the real talent never made it to the the top 4. Nothing left but Ford ads and Country Pop-less talent...
