Amazon

disclosure: I still own it.

Just disclosing that I sold AMZN just before the close today. Filled at $1,947.6435

I got the bounce I was hoping for and I like the chart but I wanted to be flat heading into Friday's jobs report and will hopefully (famous last words) buy on any pullbacks we get in the coming days / weeks.

I tell you what, AMZN looks ready to pop again.

Disclosure: I just bought it.

Apple is 53% above its 200-day EMA. :D

Crazy.

This is a trade, not long term investment. Such a nice chart formation. Looking for 3550- 3600 -- stop is a close (somewhere) below 3200.

Hmm, I had a GTC order to sell AMZN at 3550. Today's high is 3552.25, and I didn't get filled? Now it's trading at 3493. :suspicious:

Looks like a lot of sell volume in the first five minutes and didn't spend much time above 3550 so you probably weren't the only one that missed out.

I'm not sure I like that it is lagging today, but it seems to be at the bottom of the recent range. Of course if the range breakdown I will get stopped out.

Filled at $3,169.0271

Curious as to why you trade AMZN.

Just a quick glance I see SNAP is making a weekly base pattern and could make a handle into next week. (I hold zero SNAP. Only looking at it from chart setup perspective.)

Mostly because of how strong it has been this year, the amount of money I spend on their site, and the set ups recently. First time I was playing for a breakout, which it did. This last time was a play on the 50-day EMA holding, which it did not.

I don't follow snap - not even sure what they do, but I see what you mean about the chart.

Oversold here. Unless you think it won't be used for Christmas shopping, it's probably a good time to look for an entry on a multi-month trade here.

Bezos just unloaded a couple billion worth of stock. Better to sell now than have the party he supports possibly get an extra 10% capital gains tax from him.
