I can't really watch videos from work - our network can get bogged down...
Anyway, my biggest concern about Alt-Coin technology is that it is based on encryption. Being in the computer field, what is encrypted today is cracked tomorrow. Nobody would use an encryption key and/or algorithm from 2008 in 2018. Why? Because you will be owned. The Alt-Coins would have to constantly (maybe every two or three years) re-encrypt their existing 'money' and force the user to select ever stronger passwords.
Are they doing this?
Have you been forced to re-password your vaults?
