After the Bell: Dow Drops 64 Points but It Could Have Been So Much Worse
It was the day before Fed day, and while the bears appeared to have the upper hand early--the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at one point down more than 300 points--the bulls rallied the market into the close. Yes, the Dow dropped 64.1 points, or 0.3%, to 24,099.05, lower but above its opening price. The Dow was down by almost 355 points at the low.
