a little annoyed

I've been told FAM's use "less-lethal" bullets made of rubber or plastic that would not penetrate the fuselage.
I say allow all current & retired law enforcement and military personel to carry onboard if they choose. Have a quick 5 minute safety brief before boarding with one FAM who inspects everyone's authorized "less-lethal" rounds or approved tasers.
-This, or just get some of those 007 ejection seats.

James48843, one problem is what if you miss and shoot through the plane causing the aerodynamic to be F! up then you would cause more harm then good.

or what if a terrorist know you have a gun and walk by and knock you on the head with a bottle of champagne, i dont care how super man you are, you gonna be knock out if a bottle champagne meet your head

This topic is discussed in many separate threads over at Flyertalk.com in the Travel/Security forum. Thousands of sophisticated very frequent flyers contribute. Generally, the posted thoughts have those upstream here in the minority, primarily because the entire airport TSA "experience" is viewed as theater for the impressionable masses.

I'd be happier if the FAMs stopped taking upgrade seats. Especially now that they have permission to "dress down". I can accept the pornoscopes despite the health concerns. That's really all that TSA is wishing for in the aggressive enhanced pat-downs. They want to make it undesireable to "opt out" of the new AIT. Overseas locations don't allow "opt-outs".

One problem I see with that plan, is that some moron will shoot himself/herself or the poor sap in the next seat, because he or she doesn't know how to handle a gun properly. It's one of those skills that isn't taught to children anymore.

OK- so you got to get an "Armed Traveler Qualification Card" to draw an airline .38.

Two hours of safety briefing and range qual gets you a card. Training may be bypassed for Concealed Carry Holders, military personnel, and valid law enforcement personnel.

Hell, I'd even pay them $25 for the card.

;-)

I am annoyed at all the screening, metal detectors, body searches, etc.

I would much rather that- at the boarding gate of every single flight, they pass out .38 caliber Colt six-shooters to anyone who would like one.

At the end of the flight, before you open the door, you collect up all the .38 caliber Colt six-shooter you handed out before.

You can rest assured that not a single terrorist would board any of those flights- knowing that about a hundred passengers on each flight are armed.

The founding fathers were very, very wise. They put that wording in the second amendment for a reason. It works. They should simply enforce the Constitution instead of spending all these huge sums on useless searching.

You are far, far more likely to be killed in the car from an accedent on the way to the airport, than you ever will be on an actual airplane flight.

even though I'm guilty of poking jokes..I'm the same way..better to be safe and felt up, than finding out some kook got through with a weapon of bomb of some kind...then those that objected intially would really bich for tighter screening..:notrust:

i feel really annoyed by some people in the US who think that the frisking and body scan at the airport should be banned, i mean cmon really? its there for a reason honestly if ya dont like it take a car, bus or a train. people keep saying it violate the 4th amendment but honestly they dont want to have terrorist on the planes either so theres just no happy ground for those people. they want a safer ride yet bitch about security being enforce...sorry i felt like ranting here since most of you guys are more mature and a little bit more easy to discuss things with, anyone got inputs?
