I may be posting to the sound of crickets again but here goes... any predictions on where we will be at 11:30am with the MSCI EAFE and where we will be post FOMC?

I see a little artificial rally post FOMC... but thats just IMHO.

Hope all you guys haven't left....

Everyone is still here.

Right now, ChemEng's spreadsheet has the I-fund up 0.263% ($0.06). The Nikkei's drop is the main thing keeping gains down.

Don't you think the I fund will pop on Wednesday since the Fed meeting is so late today? Overseas markets won't have enough time to react today.

I like what Dr. Faustus wrote, makes sense, doesn't it??? (ref reaction after rates go down...), decisions, decisions...

I read the post by Dr. Faustus and that is why I am leaning on staying in the I fund one more day. I don't want to be greedy but I also don't want to miss a pop.

10 Yr. note to 4.5%
Gold off it's high,
I want to follow the money!
I'll give it one more day but I could be wrong!!!!

I must admit, I've become quite a fan of Ebby's trading system. Combined with the uncertainty in how foreign markets will react to the Fed's actions today, I'd rather ride things out in the F-fund tomorrow.

Which means, of course, I'm hoping for a +fv today :D

IMHO

OK, I see the markets gaining.
I think the fed will give the 25 points.
I also think that it will cause the Nikkei to skyrocket tomorrow/tonight.
I'm staying I one more day.

Now, If that happens (please please please)
I think that we will get a FV+ and I'll dive to the Fund and follow the ebb for a while.

I'm with Frixxxx. I will go to the F fund or G fund after we give the overseas markets a chance to react tonight/tomorrow. The G fund will pay a penny on Friday, right?

Do you guys think that what's happening in Brazil may help push up the I fund??? Per Bloombergnews today:

Marcopolo, Petrobras and Vale do Rio Doce: Brazil Equity Movers

By Paulo Winterstein
Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil's main stock index rose for the first time in three days, led by state-controlled oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA.
The Bovespa Index of the most-traded shares on the Sao Paulo exchange gained 779.24, or 1.4 percent, to 55,119.78 as of 9:25 a.m. New York time.
The following are the stocks that are most active in the Brazilian market today. In Brazil, the preferred share is usually the company's most-traded class of stock.
Cia. Vale do Rio Doce (VALE5 BS), the world's second-biggest nickel producer, rose 85 centavos, or 1.9 percent, to a record 44.75 reais. Nickel jumped 3.3 percent in London to the highest price in almost seven weeks.
Marcopolo SA (POMO4 BS) gained for the first time in eight sessions, rising 7 centavos, or 0.9 percent, to 8 reais. Latin America's biggest maker of bus bodies increased August production 20 percent from a year earlier, a ``considerable'' gain that boosted revenue 11 percent as bus prices fell, Brascan Corretora analyst Beatriz Battelli wrote in a report e-mailed yesterday.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4 BS) gained for a second day, advancing 71 centavos, or 1.3 percent, to 55.20 reais. Crude oil rose to more than $81 a barrel for the first time, on speculation rising demand will deplete stockpiles needed during winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
Vivo Participacoes SA (VIVO4 BS), Brazil's biggest mobile- phone company, rose 11 centavos, or 1.3 percent, to 8.76 reais. Vivo will take part in an auction of wireless frequencies in northeastern Brazil, Diario Economico reported, without saying where it got the information. Vivo offers roaming services in those Brazilian states, according to the Portuguese newspaper. Today is the deadline for proposals, Diario said.

I too have become a big fan of the EbbChart - but I tend to think that Barclay will "delay" an +FV if we all jump ship today. From what I have read and listened to, the majority believe we will get a .25 cut not the .50 and it is almost as important how they express it to us as it is the amount.
I am leaning to staying one extra day - hell, we all aren't pulling our retirement nest eggs out of the market in the near future - so I will roll the dice. good luck all!:D

IMO, if we get no cut or too much the markets will tank. If we get the quarter point, the markets will react moderately today, and if we get the +FV today it will make it that much more difficult for the I tomorrow.

How much upside is left, in that the quarter point is expected? There may not be all that much for the OSM's to work with, and much downside potential if things don't go just right...

I'm with the EbbTracker on this one, based on risk potential.

Don't mean to ignore you,,, I simply don't know!

Do you guys think that what's happening in Brazil may help push up the I fund??? .....

Honestly, until Brazil is part of the "I" index, I don't think it will affect anything more than usual.
Oil->
I hear that this winter will be the warmest on record.

Low demand and huge supply on the oil side.
