My question is this...If the FED keeps cutting (which Uncle Ben is predicted to do this week)..We will be at around 3% to 3.25% basis points...Is there a possiblitiy to ever run out room to cut?...I mean, what if we ever see 0.0% basis, then what?

Japan? 17-18? years of deflation and still can't get out of it. Don't forget to look at what happened to their stock market. This is just an example of what could happen.

Uh oh. Looks like a repeat of last Monday! The German DAX is down 8.4% and the Nikkei down 3.4%!

EDIT: Then again, I could have it wrong. Right now MSNBC.COM lists the DAX being down 8.4% but it hasn't budged for the last 20 minutes or so. Is the German market even open yet?

Must be futures, Europe opens 12am PST. Sometimes the DAX starts up a bit later on Yahoo. Not sure if they trade different hours or what.
This is the easiest site for me to understand once they open up.

Tracy Ray and the rest of the buy and holders on Fedsmith.com, watch as your account balances get smaller and small. The .08% trading cost is how much?($80/year/person?). How does that compare to the 10's of thousands of dollars you have lost this year so far.:D

I've been thinking about that ever since Jan 2 but I wasn't going to say anything as it felt like gloating ... especially since I only got into the market on Friday (1/25) and was sitting on the sidelines before that.

But now that the subject has been breached ... does anyone have a feel on how this market downturn is going to affect their decision? I'm guessing it won't have much of an effect since anyone could have jumped to G at any time.

I'm so tempted to jump in on a big down day and hope for a nice, short rally and then bail back out, but I always get burned. I just don't want to miss the boat again.

Heads up!

CFC report earnings tomorrow. On their last conference call, the Tan-Man said that they will report a profitable fourth quarter. I called BS back then.:D

Good luck.

I fund down 3 cents.

durable goods @ 8:30 am and consumer confidence at 10 AM tomorrow.

We did seem to sell off on the housing numbers this AM originally, but it seems people used that as a buying op.

The 1 month increase in inventory was a red flag. The bottom is not near.
