Thanks for that read, sugarandspice. Half way through the article, I was worried that I'd read about plans to limit our transactions. Instead, they are making plans to keep pace with our transactions. That's definitely a good thing.

TSP? No. Fund manager? Yes, commission.

And that's why they want us to keep doing IFTs. If they started limiting the number of our IFTs, the fund manager will go nuts. I'm still waiting for the day they can have our share prices fluctuate throughout the day and we can set limits and stops on our transfers. Then they let us transfer funds instantaneously an unlimited number of times per day!! :D

Okay, maybe limit us to about 25 xfers a day.

Yer right there, I'd be one of those 14:00 profit takers!!

It would suck if they canceled daily transfers and go back to monthly. They should have a Ultra-short fund. That how real money is made.

Did read correctly that TSP made $8,000,000 brcause of the transfer not us?

Yes, but remember, they lost their shirt (35 million?) the previous month because everyone moved to I fund and the -FV wasn't big enough. This 8 million helped them get some of that back.

I doubt that the fund manager gets commission per trade. I think their fee is a percentage of the total amount of funds.

The cats out of the bag on daily transfers. I'd bet we'd see a fee for transfers beyond some nominal number of transfers a year (say 12).

There really isn't a reason for them to change anything right now. The fees for TSP has been going down, not up.

I'd be nice to have some sort of short (bear) fund. By ultra-short do you mean weighted or time frame?

I'm guessing, but I think 12% was talking about QQQ the pro shares ultra short fund.

The UltraShort QQQ seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to twice (200%) the inverse (opposite) of the daily performance of the NASDAQ-100® Index.
