Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I bet we get a fair value today.

Solid fair value. Look at the drop.

25 cents on the FV?

How is that "fair"?

If I wanted to lose that kind of money, I'd of gone 100% S yesterday.

It's pretty bad when the market does exactly what you expected it would, but you still can't make any money (or even avoid a loss.)

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

As of right now the I fund is looking at a -FV of 17 cents for a total of -10. The dollar is a non-factor. If Barclays wants to be aggressive, it might be as high as -22 cents for a total of -15.

For anybody that cares, it looks like Barclays will probably go with my first scenario. -18 cents FV for a total of -11.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I care!!!! THANKS, and have a gr8 wknd!

You're welcome fedgolfer,

I learned a good lesson the hard way today. I just hope I don't repeat it again. Enjoy your weekend.:)

Btw, I won't be watching the ProBowl, because the way I see it, The only Bears that deserves to be there are Gould and Hester.

Re: sorry

Paulson leads up to G7 with yen defense

Treasury sec'y says currency price is set fairly, despite European politicians who say it's undervalued.

February 9 2007: 2:29 PM EST

ESSEN, Germany (Reuters) -- Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson repeated on Friday that he considers the value of Japan's yen currency is fairly set in currency markets and reflects economic fundamentals.

Folks should not forget where Paulson came from. Goldman Sucks! Which most consider to be a hedge fund. How can he attack the Chinese Yaun while defending the Yen? I don't expect any tough talk on the Yen from the G7s.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

350z, what do you see for the dollar??

white

I see the dollar flat to slightly down on Monday. Post G7, Tuesday/Wednesday, the dollar should decline. Perhaps GDP and inflation reports from BOE and ECB will help. If anything comes out of the G7, specifically about the Yen being under valued(unlikely), the dollar will fall quickly.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

350, I still the dollar sells off Monday with that news. I agree with you about Tuesday. The yen should pop later part of week. We shall wait and see 350. ty

"It is the joint conviction of the finance ministers and central bank presidents that we want the markets to be aware of the risks of very one-way bets, especially on foreign exchange markets -- that includes the problems in particular from carry trades," German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck told a news conference after chairing the the G7 meeting.

Thanks for the article. Although the language wasn't very strong, you're right, the dollar should decline on this news.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Sorry, 350, I meant that the dollar will go up Monday and then sell-off Tuesday.
