Breaking News!!!

The FED adds more reserves to system, 2nd time today!!!Tells me they are worried and trying different measures before being forced to cut. This weekend , every brokerage house will be calling him for help. Next move will have to be a cut!!;)

Yes, I think you might be right. It appears to be heading that way. But market might not act favorable to a surprise cut.

Agreed, a cut is the only piece of news/stimulus that will turn this around. Historians, when has the Fed cut outside of a pre-planned policy statement? I'd also be interested in the news surrounding those circumstances if they exist.

This seems to be a move to punish the banks and investors(imo). Wondering what Paulson was really discussing w/China with all those talks.
Since this is a world-wide effort, it had to be planned.

And who is on the buying side of all of these sell-offs?

We are being played like a well tuned fiddle.
Am thing about taking a small position in the I.

Am I joining NUTT is his world of crazy? Or just playing the game?

I think the market already knows that the Fed is too late to the game on this -- Main street knows too. I'm thinking that's already priced into the markets.

Well.... whos going all in over the weekend??

Not me. I'll wait for a bounce then try to catch a follow through in the I fund.

There's a rumor about a bank in Europe that's in big trouble. I think 12% talked about it yesterday. If this comes out Monday, or when ever, look out below. No need to take the risk. I'm still waiting for "Black Monday".

The Countrywides in this fiasco are getting punished. The Bear Stearns are acting like they're about to go belly up, but they really aren't, they're the ones that sold at the top, claimed bankruptcy on their subprime related funds, will get the bailout from the Feds directly or indircetly, and they are the ones buying the fear. sqeezing the shorts and essentially making out like bandits at joe-blow's expense.

I believe they did it back in late 2000 or early 2001. It was done but I'm not sure of the exact time. I wasn't watching the market back then.

I see another - fv setup just like yesterday. I do however think Europe has sold off enough to make Mon profitable for the I. fwiw.

FED might come in again today!!! Panic at the FED?? Cut next week!!

The pop was just on that news for the moment. Investors want a cut now not more injections of money. My thinking is that they will get it next week not today. The reason is if they cut today, people will think they are hiding something. The markets will tank more to show the FED that the markets want a cut!!!!

Don't be fooled by this attempt to bounce.

Could you imagine how the markets would react if the SEC finds huge coverups in Goldman Sachs?!??!?!?!?! What if that news hits Monday. You're absolutely right, take profits on green bounces intraday if you have a trading account; and definitely take 'em off in TSP/IRA/etc, if you play the bounces at all.

IFT deadline sucks a$$.

And also, the big bet against CFC that I mentioned last night. They might hold a CC like Bear Sterns.

You know that Old Ben Burntankle is a tough customer. The Big Boys are TWISTING his ARM (want a bailout), but I don't think he will UNCLE UP just yet!:worried:

Think Bernanke will scream uncle when Bush calls him and tells him, "Dick Chaney wants you to go on a hunting trip with him this weekend if you don't cut rates."

Bernanke is Fredo. Wall St., is the Godfather.
