Re: 350z, I am not certain that you have this

Thanks,

Are you planning on staying in the I fund through the BOJ rate hike? I believe the hike will be announced on the Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, so we would have to decide Tuesday morning before noon est.
I rather not and hopefully my postion in the I fund for Mon./Tues. will pan out. Will see how it plays out on Mon./ Tues., then make a decision. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nb20070216a1.html

Okay, the wise ones have spoken, better get ready to bail. Guess I'll go 100 S. Maybe G. But I really thought I was going to take off.....

I was referring to the overall market and not just the I fund. The pullback might be 1-2% or maybe less, so I didn't mean to scare you. This market is still a crazy bull market. 1-2 down days and it rebounds higher than the previous high.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Let's talk about this upcoming Wednesday.

We know the BOJ will do their thing on Tuesday night. Consensus is around 55% vs. 45% for a hike I believe. So, IMHO, I believe the USD/YEN will move significantly one way or the other. If they hike, USD/YEN falls but the Nikkei will probably drop also. If they hold, USD/YEN rises but so will the Nikkei. The rise or fall in the Nikkei might be greater than the movements of the USD/YEN.

Another thing to consider is the release of the Fed minutes on Wednesday afternoon. Don't you guys/gals find it strange that the Fed governors, last week, were a little too hawkish? I do. Given that Bernacke was very dovish on 1/31 and on last Wednesday, I think the minutes will be pretty much the same. The markets have already rallied twice on Bernacke, but will the minutes provide a third rally?

If the markets don't pullback on Tuesday, I will probably just wait it out in the G.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

There are lots of board members sitting in right now.......if a pull-back is coming Tuesday, we better sit patiently and take our lumps. We had better watch carefully, though.

Thanks 350.

Or in this case "Uncle Sam"

However, you should be okay during your duty free lunch, any authorized breaks, etc...

Should be someone who can detail what policies are in place (your IT folks, likely).
