2moryrs Account Talk

My TSP balance is small because I was never in the equities. But, thanks to the wonderful parents I had, I have a sizeable Vanguard account. Trying to honor their memory by being a giver and being astute with the blessings they left me with.

Currently back in the G fund 100%. I am comfortable with this position as I am traveling a bit for the next three weeks and I do not like handling any business transactions on my smart phone.

It is rodeo time here in Oregon. Let'er Buck! as they say around here!

Well, it has been a few months since I was here.
As of COB 1/22/2019 100% G

Been a roller coaster market and I was getting kind of sick! Think I ended 2018 in the negative, but will end January in the positive. We are not having much of a winter here in my part of the PNW so I am trying to make good use of that good fortune and spending time with my horse. Even though she doesn't often show it, I know she likes it.

Missing all the action but decided to wait and see what happens during Biden's first 100 days. If there is another dip I may jump in a little and get some growth.

Last year was really bad for me in my personal world. I had to put down my Standard Poodle, Gus, who was only 7 yrs old. He got Osteosarcoma in the upper bone of his right hind leg. His chances of a longer life were not good so had to make that tough decision. He was a big boy and we just could not bring ourselves to cut off his leg at the hip and put him through chemo and radiation. The cancer was already taking its toll.

Would like to hear if there are any companies out there making "clean" dog food that is not full of toxins and things that cause cancer and other dis-eases that our fur babies are getting? Shame on you Monsanto for poisoning our soil, water and food.

There, I'm done.

Sorry for your loss. We had to say goodbye to our dog last year as well. We just got a new puppy this weekend and our breeder recommended “Life’s Abundance” dog food. It’s only sold online and a few company stores. It’s a little pricey but we are going to use it and see how it goes. My wife subscribes to Whole Dog Journal and was listed there as an approved brand with many others.

Just google it and you can get to the website but you can do your own research.

Sorry for your loss.

I hear you, but I think the bigger risk is from people who dump chemicals on their lawn to make it greener and weed free.

Dog walks on the lawn, then maybe licks his/her paws later in the day, who knows what it's ingesting. If the stuff wasn't deadly there wouldn't be signs on lawns saying to stay off for 24 hours. God knows what ends up going down our storm drains affecting us all.

Saddened to hear the news, my condolences. The boutique pet stores have the high quality pet foods that are organic, etc. We haven't put any fertilizer, weed-icide, or anything in our yard over 20+ years. When we bought the house, you couldn't find a worm anywhere; now you can't turn over a rock without finding several. Soil is black, native plants grow like crazy. We put in a small pond. We now have several species of nesting pairs of birds returning every year, lizards, the odd frog. We had raccoons every year until someone on the next block poisoned many of them, very disappointing.

As of COB 8/19 100% C.

Decided I had been out too long, so getting back in but watching everyday and trying to keep educated.

Got a new puppy! Another Standard Poodle. Black and White this time. Will post a picture when I figure out how. Or if you are on Facebook we are BernieColleen Hewes.

Welcome to 2022! Is it going to be a repeat of the last 2 years?

We live in a rural area of Eastern Oregon. COVID was/is an issue. Our small rural hospital is struggling to provide their services and stay open. Now it appears our rural area is ripe for the picking by large urban area crimesters. We are being hit by snatch and grab thieves, carjackers, housing break ins. I will have to update my concealed carry permit and get to a place where I can practice shooting my handgun. I know that I must be ready to fire it if I feel that I or my family is in danger.

Trying to figure out how to attach a picture of my new pup. He is 9 months old and weighs in at 70 lbs.

Will keep trying!

Open up your picture on your PC in whatever photo viewer/editor you have. Look for a button that will allow you to rotate the photo. Then rotate it until it's right side up. Then save it. :D
then click on the Insert Image Icon CaptureZ.PNG and upload the image from your PC.
