2022 was the worst-ever year for U.S. bonds. How to position your portfolio for 2023

In 2022, bond investors suffered worse returns than they have in the last 250 years, according to an investment historian.

Perhaps it is time to buy bonds...

The FED Funds Rate is around where the historical norm is. The FED will likely be forced to raise rates to fight off the Federal Treasury's inflationary policies - but I think the maxim of 'Never fight the FED' will actually force the Federal Gubmint's hand into some form of austerity. As we know, math is quite equitable. Even the Federal Gubmint has to bend the knee to math at some point.

Personally, a bit of market timing is probably the thing to do. When the Federal Gubmint has some 'failed' bond auctions it will be time to invest in bonds.
