Perhaps I was looking at the wrong area of the website but after tallying the returns for all the years that TSP Talk has been in existance I calculated a return of 2.90%!!!

1) Was I in the wrong area?

2) Where is and what are the 1, 3, 5, 10, and inception returns annualized for TSPTALK?

Here's the numbers I used: http://www.tsptalk.com/returns/returns3.html

2007 -7.50%
2006 7.13%
2005 0.51%
2004 10.50%
2003 39.13%
2002 -16.48%
2001 -14.60%
2000 4.54%

8 years/ 23.23 total rtn = 2.90%

I guess the numbers I used to calculate the annualized rate of return since TSP Talk inception is 2.90% since there was no response directing me to figures showing otherwise.

My new question is this: With the interfund restrictions being imposed how has that improved the returns of your investments?

Actually you have to use products and roots (adding 1 to all to eliminate negative numbers) then subtracting 1 from the root. The actual return of TSP active from your series is 1.67% annually, but that compares slightly favorably to the 1.64% return of the C fund (which is the industry standard benchmark and I'd guess TSP active is fairly stock heavy). This makes sense because with a large enough group returns should more or less be market returns.
